Family Friendly Restaurants are most often casual dining restaurants that may offer traditional “child friendly” choices on the menu such as French fries, hamburgers, cheese sandwiches, Mac and Cheese, etc. These restaurants sometimes have a separate “Child Friendly Menu” and may provide children’s highchairs, booster seats, and/or crayons with coloring paper for the kids.

There are also a few high-end restaurants that occasionally welcome children and are therefore designated as "Family Friendly Restaurants".
