Worlds End Bar at The Garrison is located at 2015 US 9 at Snake Hill Road, Garrison, NY 10524 in Putnam County.

From Worlds End Bar: "Located adjacent to our Valley restaurant, and now open year round, World's End Bar shares the same stunning views of the Hudson River and surrounding Highlands. World's End bar earned its unique name from a bit of historical folklore. Ever since Henry Hudson sailed this river in 1609, the Hudson Highlands has been known for its fierce currents and treacherous winds, and certain parts of the river earned nicknames from the sailors. On the stretch of river directly below The World’s End bar lies the deepest spot in the Hudson's 315-mile course from the Adirondacks to the sea and, an especially dangerous curve where many early sloops and sailing vessels were lost in sudden squalls and conflicting currents. West Point also juts out into this bend in the Hudson, which respectful mariners named the 'World's End'.

"World's End Bar features signature cocktails, great beers and a Lounge Menu of small plate fare. Order a burger and watch a game on TV, or catch up with friends over a drink. Prefer to be served a full dinner in the bar? Ask to see the Valley menu on Friday through Sunday nights."

A Bit of History about The Garrison and Highlands Country Club
"From 19th century private estates, both The Garrison and Highlands Country Club have evolved into prominent social and recreational centers of activity for the community and surrounding region. Highlands Country Club was founded for social and athletic purposes in 1898 by a handful of local families, including those of William Osborn, Samuel Sloan, JP Morgan, and Stuyvesant Fish.

"The Owners: Today Chris and Sharon Davis continue this legacy of community stewardship as the owners of both The Garrison and Highlands Country Club. Active in community and conservation advocacy in the Hudson Highlands for many years, Chris and Sharon continue to give their time, energy and resources to a variety of regional and environmental endeavors. Among other activities, Chris serves as Chairman of the Hudson Highlands Land Trust, a dedicated steward of the Hudson River Valley. The Davis' goal for The Garrison and Highlands properties is to continue to evolve the land and assets into an economically sustainable and highly valued business that balances social, dining and athletic offerings with community stewardship, land conservation, and environmental best practices."
